ABOUT
Writtle University College was established in 1893, and is one of the oldest specialist institutions in the UK that has been producing leaders in the land-based industries and organisations for 130 years.
Writtle specialises in Land based courses such as Agriculture, Animal based courses such as Equine, Animal Management or Veterinary Physiotherapy and Sport and Health courses such as Sport and Exercise Science and Exercise Psychology .
Writtle University College is situated on a stunning countryside estate of approximately 150 hectares, yet close to towns and cities.
We are a small scale institution where we house just under 400 students on campus with the remaining 1,400 living in the wider Essex region. We also have a diverse student population drawn from approximately 40 countries which helps to create a culturally diverse community in which to learn and socialise.
