The SPILLERS™ brand has launched an exclusive new club to help support the owners of golden oldies. The new SPILLERS Super Seniors’ Club on Facebook is a caring community to unite owners who have a passion for keeping their senior horses happy and healthy.
“Caring for senior horses is a journey filled with love, dedication, and unique challenges,” said Claire Dyett, Marketing Manager at Mars Horsecare, home of the SPILLERS brand. “At SPILLERS, many of us have had experience with precious golden oldies and we understand the special place our older horses hold in our hearts.” *
The SPILLERS Super Seniors’ Club will give horse owners access to practical information and advice on how to keep their senior in the best health no matter their age and stage in life. Via the dedicated Facebook group owners of seniors can share their horse’s story and tips with other owners, as well as post questions for SPILLERS nutrition advisors to answer.
“Whether your horse is thriving in retirement, still active, or showing signs of ageing, we’re here to provide expert guidance, practical advice, and a platform to celebrate your horse’s golden years,” said Claire. “We always aim to be your trusted partner in care, to help you give your horses their best life in their twilight years.”
The SPILLERS brand is committed to improving the health and welfare of senior horses. For the past 22 years the brand, via the WALTHAM™ Equine Studies Group, has been involved with numerous research collaborations which bring together world-leading equine veterinary, nutrition and research experts to support the wellbeing, performance and longevity of senior horses and ponies. By translating their science and sharing highlights and practical take home messages the brand endeavours to give the owners of seniors the extra support they need to help keep their horses in the best possible health.

*Why members of the SPILLERS Brand Team have a passion for seniors
Claire Dyett, Marketing Manager Mars Horsecare UK, home of the SPILLERS brand
“My horses have always been family. My childhood horses, Bean and Sandy, stayed with me until they passed away; Bean at 23 from colic and Sandy at 35 after 27 years together. My current horse, Cello, is 19, and I’ve had him since he was 4. Caring for them in their senior years feels like my duty after so many wonderful times together. Sandy had PPID, requiring extra care, but I took pride in keeping him healthy to the end. Seniors truly hold a special place in my heart.”
Danni Twose, Marketing Assistant, Mars Horsecare UK, home of the SPILLERS brand
“I bought Tinca as an Eventer back when she was 7, and now at 28, she remains my cherished golden oldie. I’m blessed to still have Tinca in work but owning a senior horse has its challenges. This is why I am really excited about our new SPILLERS Super Seniors’ Facebook group. It will be a wonderful, supportive group for help and advice for horse owners like me.”
