This “Introduction to Polo” covers the following topics:
Game Overview:
- Polo Field, Players & Officials.
- Player Equipment.
- What to expect.
Polo Riding:
- Balance, Walking, Trotting and Cantering.
- Stopping and Turning.
- Half-seat / Polo position to hit the ball.
Polo Swing:
- The Polo Swings.
- Timing ball location.
- Power & Accuracy.
Game Theory:
- Basic Rules.
- Team Tactics.
- Penalties & Set Plays.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Have a greater understanding of the game to watch polo and/or learn to play.
- Understand the basics of polo including the general game theory, polo riding and hitting the ball.
