About The Dressage Coach App
The Dressage Coach was founded by professional dressage coach, Maddi Burchell in 2019 after overwhelming demand for dressage coaching with Maddi from clients living too far for her to travel to them.
Since then, The Dressage Coach has developed and expanded to include a whole variety of features, including our fantastic dressage app, remote dressage coaching, video feedback system and more.
Our Award-Winning app provides a simple and easy way to upload videos to our professional dressage coaches who will review your video and send you back a feedback video with coaching advice, tips for schooling and more. You can also upload score sheets directly for additional feedback as well as many other features including our amazing online community of supportive and like-minded riders.
About Maddi Burchell
Maddi has been riding for over 30 years, during which time she has trained with some of the world’s finest trainers, including her long standing coach Carl Hester, who she has been coached by for just under 20 years!
Maddi has dedicated much of her life to learning the art of classical dressage, and has studied under the guidance of Classical Master, Joaquin Vazquez Vela and other riders at the Royal School of Equestrian Art in Jerez, Spain. Maddi worked for Joaquin in Spain at his private yard. There, as well as coaching, she rode, trained and competed a number of his and his clients horses up to Grand Prix level.
Maddi has also spent time learning from Dr Gerd Heuschmann, Manolo Mendez and the late Dr Kerry Ridgeway, which have been a huge influence in her understanding of equine physiology, biomechanics and psychological well being. This has enabled her to not only successfully train horse and keep sound, happy athletes, but has also allowed her to specialise in rehab work and corrective schooling.
Maddi is an experienced competitor and has been lucky enough to experience competing in Europe as well as in the UK. She has ridden at all levels up to Grand Prix and has worked and been based on the yards of several International Riders and Trainers.
